Global Shortage of Physical IPAF PAL Cards

We have recently received an update from IPAF detailing the global shortage of microchips, and how this may affect you!

As you may be aware, all smart cards rely on the use of microchips in their production. There is currently a global shortage, meaning we can’t currently process physical PAL cards.

Unfortunately, due to this, there will be a delay on all requests made for physical smart cards - all cards will be processed through the digital approach (ePAL app) temporarily. Once the backlog has been caught up - your card will be sent out.

Candidates that require physical card for site or machine access will still be able to requests a new/updated smart cards, however, all other new/renewed PAL cards will be issued via the ePAL app.

We are hoping the shortage of cards will be a short-term issue and the normal certification service will resume shortly. We will continue to update you with any information we receive from IPAF.

In the meantime, if you have any queries or questions regarding certification or IPAF training, please do not hesitate to contact our team today - 01246 386900.
