IPAF Safety Harness Training
We can provide IPAF Safety Harness Training at your site using your own equipment, or at one of our IPAF approved training centres.
IPAF data indicates that falling from platforms is one of the main causes of injury or fatality associated with using boom-type MEWPs. Therefore, using a full body harness with an adjustable lanyard to provide work restraint when using a boom-type platform helps provide a safe working environment for those working on or around the equipment.
To meet the needs of learners, there are two safety harness courses which can be taken as individual courses, or run collectively as one full course:
- Harness Awareness (HA) - theory-based learning which can be delivered in-person, or via E-Learning
- Harness User (HU) - instructor-led, half-day course which can include Harness Awareness training
The Harness User (HU) course can be incorporated into the IPAF Operator training course, providing that the HA course has been successfully completed.
