The MPQC/SPA Minerals Contractor Safety Passport is a nationally recognised qualification that certifies contractors working in the mineral products sector (e.g. quarries, cement, asphalt, and aggregates) have received health and safety training specific to the industry.
SPA Contractor Safety Passport Training
The SPA Contractor Safety Passport, also known as the MPQC SPA Quarry Contractor Safety Passport, is a widely recognised requirement for contractors working across the mineral extraction and mineral products sectors. This essential qualification provides core Health, Safety and Environmental awareness to support safe working on quarry and mineral sites.
Whether you know it as the SPA safety passport, MPQC quarry passport, or simply the quarry safety passport, this is the same industry-recognised qualification that opens doors to contractor opportunities throughout the mineral products sector. The course raises awareness of common site hazards, reinforces safe working practices and supports contractors in minimising risk in line with MPQC standards.
Successful delegates achieve the Level 2 MPQC Award in Understanding Safe Working for Contractors in Extractives and Building Products Industries Sites. While not a measure of job competence, this qualification demonstrates that individuals understand expected safety behaviours on active sites.
