Excavator as a Crane Training

Our Excavator as a Crane training course is approved and accredited by NPORS and EU Skills has proven very popular with our customers working in industries that utilise an excavator to lift a slung load including utilities, groundworks, construction and civils. Operators attending the excavator as a crane course will learn how to check that the load is safe and stable, lift, move and place slung loads.

The course provides excavator operatives with the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to safely operate an excavator to sling and position suspended loads.

It can be run as a standalone course or has the flexibility to be added to other courses and blended with our Slinging and Lifting course – particularly for those sites who do not have a specialist slinger assigned to preparing and setting the load prior to lift.

Training will follow the latest industry guidance, current lifting legislations, and best practice.
