IPAF Load and Unload Training (LOAD and LOAD+)
Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) are loaded onto vehicles for transportation on the road and UK carriageways. This IPAF course is for delegates who are responsible for this loading, unloading and transporting MEWPs, and is split into two courses: LOAD and LOAD+. The LOAD course is for vehicles up to and equal to 7.5 tonnes, and LOAD+ is for vehicles over 7.5 tonnes.
On the course, delegates will learn the correct skills, knowledge and understanding to be able to safely demonstrate loading, unloading and securing MEWPs or plant machinery prior to or following transportation by road. Delegates will conduct both a theory and practical test on the course, and upon completion will receive certification on the IPAF ePAL app, valid for 5 years.
The LOAD course is 1-2 days depending on the machine category, and can be attended by up to 4 delegates. The LOAD+ is 1-3 days also depending on machine category, but has a smaller 2 delegate maximum.
IPAF ePAL - All candidates who successfully complete their IPAF training will now receive their licence, logbook, and safety guide digitally through the IPAF app straight to their phone.
