IPAF: Don't Fall For It!

IPAF’s new global safety campaign Don’t Fall For It! has been developed to identify key causes of falls from working platforms, with the aim of reducing the biggest cause of injuries or fatalities when using a MEWP.

The campaign’s key points of guidance are to plan thoroughly, know your machine, clip on, set up and maneuver the machine/platform effectively and to stay inside the platform with lanyard(s) attached.

For correctly trained operators, these points should be common knowledge, but the campaign aims to encourage MEWP users to operate the machine properly and safely and ignore the temptation to cut corners or do something different.
