Updated IPAF MEWP Operator Course Now Available

The new and updated IPAF MEWP Operator Training Course is now available!

What has changed?

The theory section of the course has changed in order to align with the practical training, allowing learners to choose category-specific modules.

The practical session of the course has remained the same.

Candidates will complete the mandatory theory sections, followed by a modular section on the MEWP category that they are training on, supporting improved machine familiarisation and heightened safety awareness.

Why has the course changed?

The course been updated to provide a better learning experience by tailoring it to individual candidate’s requirements. It addresses more recent causes of accidents and injuries which have been reported via the IPAF accident portal. Language and terminology have been edited for clarity and consistency, while technical alterations ensures that the course is compatible with modern browsers, operating systems, and devices. The course also reflects IPAF's commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) with updated imagery and includes more realistic worksite scenarios using a broader range of MEWPs.
