Job Description

You will work directly with the Operations Director, Commercial Manager and wider team to uphold the quality, delivery methods and associated processes of the qualification and training services of the business, including managed service providers.

This role will focus predominantly in the delivery of mobile plant training associated to NPORS, LANTRA and MPQC Competency Scheme and standards relevant to Certora customers.

Responsibilities

In your day-to-day role as our Northern Compliance and Training Manager, you will:

  • Have day to day responsibility for the associate, employed and peripatetic instructors and competency scheme assessors for mobile plant training based from Derby to Scotland, providing on the phone support and completion of face to face quality audits and annual reviews
  • Work with the operations team to explore upskilling opportunities for existing instructors and competency assessors
  • Complete inductions of all new instructors and assessors in the North
  • Support the instructor and assessor standardisation meetings – held biannually
  • Work with the learning and development and operations team to review existing course material for accuracy and compliance to the latest legislation
  • Work alongside the Commercial Manager to ensure business policies and procedures are up to date for the business and for those working on behalf of Certora (subcontractor specialists)
  • Complete audit visits and reviews on Subcontractor providers who deliver specialist training courses as part of the Managed Service
  • Support with the design and development of new course content and testing methodologies, implement a roll out strategy, evaluate and review
  • Oversee the accreditation audits, implementation of new standards and centre meetings
  • Attend qualification and training standards reviews or nominate the most suitably qualified assessor or instructor to attend, follow up and report on plans and roll out
  • Support with any customer complaint investigations or incident investigations involving the delivery team employed or working on behalf of Certora
