Meet our Training Manager: Adele Coupe
With 25 years of experience and an unwavering commitment to safety and compliance, Adele Coupe plays a vital role at Certora. In her role as Training Manager and now in her second term on the IPAF Training Committee, Adele is an asset in shaping our training standards.
Adele began her journey in the powered access industry in June 2000, initially working for a Manchester-based company, selling IPAF training.
Then in 2010, she joined Certora, formerly known as Mentor, as a Training Coordinator. She later advanced in her career to become Access Equipment Account Manager. In that role, she was responsible for expanding IPAF sales and developing that side of the business.
As Certora’s Training Manager, Adele oversees Instructor Standardisation Meetings, monitors service and quality, and manages instructor recruitment. Since joining Certora, Adele has heavily supported the company along its journey to becoming the largest independent IPAF training provider in the UK.
Adele’s dedication extends beyond the workplace - to mark the company’s 25th anniversary, Adele took to the skies for a sponsored skydive from 13,000 ft, raising money for charity. Her commitment to her team is equally recognised as she was voted both Best Manager and Most Helpful at Certora’s end-of-year awards, reflecting the trust she’s earned from colleagues.
IPAF Training Committee
Since 2018, Adele has been an elected member of the IPAF committee, using her experience, knowledge and background to improve standards within the powered access industry. A key project that Adele has been involved in would be the ongoing trails for IPAF’s digitalisation transition. Seeing the project through from the very beginning will be a huge development for how training will be delivered, which Adele is extremely proud of.
Inspiration and Passion
Adele’s motivation comes from her belief that effective training has the power to save lives. She is an advocate for high standards in training, alongside her passion to safety in the industry.
“I’ve been lucky enough to work with inspirational people at Certora Training, who continue to encourage and support me to achieve my goals.”
Going forward, Adele is determined to continue her positive impact, contributing towards helping people get home safely after working at height.
