CSCS Explained

What is CSCS?

Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) is the most recognised certification scheme within the UK construction industry, providing proof that operators have the necessary training and qualifications to work safely on construction sites. CSCS partners with both NPORS and CPCS to issue operators’ cards.

Whether an individual completes the NPORS or CPCS route to competence, both the trained operator card (red) and competent operator card (blue) from either NPORS or CPCS will also bear the CSCS logo and are often denoted NPORS CSCS or CPCS CSCS respectively. To learn more about the differences between the two schemes, read our guide: NPORS or CPCS: Which Mobile Plant Operator Card is Right for You?

Certora offer the route to competence in Construction via the NPORS scheme, with full details available on our Routes to Competence - NPORS / CSCS Card page.
