Routes to Competence - NPORS / CSCS Card
NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) are one of the leading accrediting bodies for plant operator training. NPORS cards are widely recognised across multiple sectors, including construction, agriculture, utilities and warehousing.
The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) logo is the most recognised and accepted standard within the UK construction industry. The CSCS logo demonstrates that operators have achieved the appropriate training to carry out site operations safely and in accordance with industry standards.
Certora provides the full pathway to achieving your NPORS/CSCS Competent Card, including the Health and Safety Touch Screen Test, on-site training, and the required NVQ.
NPORS / CSCS Trained Operator Card
Valid for 2 years, the NPORS / CSCS Trained Operator Card is issued to operators who have completed NPORS training, but do not yet hold the requisite NVQ. The operator will gain the card by passing the relevant plant category training and must complete an appropriate NVQ within 2 years to progress.
Relevant NVQ’s, such as the LANTRA Level 2 Construction Plant Operations and the GQA Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Plant Operations (Construction) can be organised and achieved through Certora.
To apply for this card, operators must have completed a Health, Safety and Environmental Touch Screen Test within two years prior to the application. We can arrange this for you if required.
Operators already issued with an NPORS Operator Card can transfer to an NPORS / CSCS Trained Operator Card, with an in-date Touch Screen Test.
NPORS / CSCS Competent Operator Card
Once completing a relevant NVQ, operators will be issued with an NPORS / CSCS Competent Operator Card and a CPD Record/Operator Logbook. Operators must hold an in-date Health, Safety and Environmental Touch Screen Test to obtain this card.
The card would be valid for 5 years and renewed through an Experienced Worker Test (EWT).
